The Tameside Table Tennis League
The Tameside Table Tennis League came about after an amalgamation between the Ashton-u-Lyne and Hyde leagues in 1991.
As with many other leagues throughout the country membership of the league has declined over the last 15 years with very few youngsters taking up the sport.
The league committee intend to reverse this trend with initiatives to introduce more junior coaching opportunities throughout the region.
Other initiatives include this website and prize money being awarded for the winners and runners-up of various competitions.
The committee's plan is to improve the playing standards and enjoyment of each player in the league over the next 5 years.

About Me
My name is Ian Mclean and I have played league Table Tennis since the age of 13 (1978), competing in the Oldham, Ashton, Bury and Lancashire and Cheshire throughout this (not so) illustrious career !!
I did have a sabbatical between 1986-97 to pursue a more financially rewarding but also more painful Rugby career.
After once more seeing the light I have decided to 'give something back' to the game by creting this website.
Which might eventually be quite entertaining !!!
